8 pm Fridays and Saturdays
2 pm Sundays

Mozart's last opera weaves a spell of myth and music as the hero Tamino and bird-man Papageno set forth to rescue a princess from a sorcerer, guided by flute and glockenspiel. There's something for everyone on this journey from darkness to enlightenment: a fiery dragon, a bereft mother, a conniving servant, two gods at odds, and echoes of Orpheus and Eurydice, Persephone, Isis and Osiris, and the Wizard of Oz! From sprightly folk tunes to sublime ensembles, Mozart's music enchants throughout.

Master Classes by Janis Martin (presentation), Jean Crossman-Miranda (movement), Harriet March Page (diction and dialogue), Dietrich Erbelding (Mozart style)

Accompaniment by the Virtual Orchestra, a computerized rendering of orchestral scores for live performance, conducted by Dietrich Erbelding, sound design by Mike Fissolo.

Tickets $15 adults, $10 seniors/students
