(``who crossed the big prairie with her lover Ike'')
a Horse Opera in One Act by Mark Bucci
Tisha C. Page as Betsy; John Adams as Ike; Ruthann Lovetang as the Narrator; Dirty Dan, a PANtomimed character; directed by Paul del Bene; musical director/pianist, Dave Hurlbert
Sweet Betsy from Pike is a hilarious reenactment of the stampede of people panning for gold circa 1849. It is the story of Sweet Betsy who, though married to Ike, still suffers occasional PANgs of love for Dirty Dan.
Goat Hall Productions plans to take this imaginative opera to middle schools in the fall. The music and text are entertaining for adults as well as children. It is also a perfect vehicle to discuss senseless violence, gun control and conflict resolution.

by Kurt Weill/Bertolt Brecht
After our soldout Threepenny Opera in April we couldn't resist more Weill/Brecht. This whirlwind tour of the Rise and Fall of Civilization (a memoir for the millenium) has some of the same cast as Threepenny: Tisha C. Page (Polly Peachum) as Jessie; Harriet March Page (Frau Peachum) as Bessie; John Adams (Tiger Brown/Ballad Singer) as Bob.

(a trio of surviving misfits)
Directed by Rolene AuClaire
This original theater piece with music is the latest incarnation in a series of personal storytelling which began at Goat Hall in 1995. It is a risky art form, revealing a veritable Pandora's box of this thing we call life. And life as raw material in the hands of Dave, Harriet and Lynn is pretty heady stuff, including panic attacks, unexpected demises, and unrepentant pangs of passion.

Composed the year before his death, the beautiful music flows like a waterfall. Cosė fan tutte is a delightful romp in the waves of love in which affections are tested, passions are aroused, and four young lovers get pretty wet. Presided over by the Machiavellian maneuverings of a pandering family friend with the help of a servant girl with panache.
