SEASON XIn 2009-2010 we presented the World Premieres of two exciting operas: Solidarity, English-born Netherlands composer Patrick Dailly's powerful commedia recreation of the imposition of martial law in Poland (September-October 2009); Sex and the Bible: The Opera (Part I), Bay Area composer Mark Alburger's provocative and brilliant expose of the Book of Genesis by way of Las Vegas (March 5-14, 2010).
NOW IS THE TIME to bring you 10 new short operas/song cycles in our 10th Anniversary of Fresh Voices Festival of New Works 2010.
Please join us as we Xplore: an erotic transformation in Hungary; starving artists in a sideshow in Czechoslovakia; a pioneer woman in Nebraska driven mad by loneliness; an Xpresident disintegrating in America. And more!
